Moravian Ginger Cookies

Moravian Ginger Cookies 

3 tablespoons shortening 

2 tablespoons darker sugar 

1/3 glass molasses

In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening, dark colored sugar and molasses until smooth. Filter together the flour, preparing soft drink, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg and allspice; mix into the creamed blend. Work batter with hands until the point when all around mixed. Cover and chill for around 4 hours.
