Is Your Cereal A Breakfast Food Or Delectable Meal?


Once I read a story where someone was criticizing someone else for eating a breakfast cereal anytime other than the breakfast hours. They thought it was quite absurd and so not the norm. I found myself feeling just a little bit offended by those words. Hey, I've been eating cereals at night-time for years now, just because that's what I wanted.

The reading of that article then sparked an interest in me to search this out a little further. I guess, I was really searching to find out if I was the weird or abnormal one or were those accusations just another one of society's simple way of imposing another limitation upon people?

As I researched cereal and its benefits I was actually astound and amazed of my findings. It seems that eating cereal is considered more of a delectable nowadays than the traditional breakfast meal.

With a large part of the world now being focused on consuming more whole grains, Many cereals are being formulated not only loaded with whole grain but a lot less sugars as well. This entails the finished product to be very low in calories and a great source of calcium, fiber, and vitamins.

Research also shows that cereals are eaten at any meal for as a weight management regimen. How popular is the television commercial about Special K? Instead of satisfying her craving for that Chocolate mousse the girl runs to the kitchen cabinets and finds her box of Special K. Why is that?

It's because the cereal is made to satisfy you without expanding your waistline. Now, I have never eaten it for the reason of weight management. Like I said, I've been eating cereal at night,late afternoon or anytime of the day because of the taste of it. Nothing more or less. I enjoy crunching a bowl of my favorite bran cereal, It's very filling and delicious.

Show me the law where cereal is restricted to be eaten only during the breakfast hours. That's non-sense and narrow thinking. Just think about it, suppose you are one of those people who need to control your weight. Wouldn't you rather have a delicious bowl of cereal after hours instead of a high fat, high calorie full course meal? It makes perfect sense to me to eat lighter during the later hours if you are really serious about keeping your weight down.




Studies have shown that humans metabolism slows down quite a bit as the day comes to an end. That means you slow down and burn less calories than you do in the earlier parts of the day. Which in terms mean you don't need such a high calorie meal, when it's only a few hours away till bed time.

When you really think about it, this is the real cause of the massive weight gain across the globe.

Discovering that the benefits of eating cereal to manage weight is an added bonus to what I was already enjoying. Now the more reason to eat cereal for dinner, right? If you have been looking to lose weight and gotten only minimum results, you might want to think about eating your favorite cereal at night as your delectable meal. It works for me.
